Sooo on my research/browsing quests online ...I often come across some amazing pieces or items that I lust after and plot on how I am going to get my hands on them.,...sometimes I even sit and conjure up 1001 different ways I could wear some of these things and how great of a staple piece it'd make in my closet ( even though I know it may just get lost in my closet smh @ myself lol )... but yea I have a habit of saving photos of things, ppl, outfits, hairstyles and stuff like that I like and that inspire me in some way and I always either go back to reference them someway..... Like right now I love the Jefferey Campbell for free people take on the Balenciaga motorcyle buckle boots.... ( I got my mind set on that .,..yesss I dooo!!! lol ) and if course I just love and adore the Olsen Twins and Gwen Stefani, they are definitely some of my style icons,...so every now and then I come across some dope photos of them and get inspired by their style/fashion sense.... anyways here's a sneak peek on some of the photos saved on my desktop for inspiration purposes and of course some of them go on my forever longggg wish list hehe :-)

Hi my lovessss!!!!! its a brand new year with brand new opportunitiesss!!! I love all you guys for sticking it out with me all through last year and all through...I promise we are going to be in for an amazing ride this year !!!!....we are going to have to make it great BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY!!!... This year I didn't make any resolutions, just decided on making sure I took control of my life and what I want to achieve... sometimes we get so lost in trying to make others happy , that we forget and neglect ourselves and our own happiness ...and what good are you to anyone if you are not at your best! ....so I took the time to reflect and decided not to sweat the small stuff and see everything as a lesson learned and room to do and prep for better.
Also, I am going to try to keep up with this Blog as much as I can.... not gonna make any promises but I definitely want to post as often as possible.... also going to learn to use the help that I have and enlist help when I NEED it, as opposed to trying to do it all by myself ( capricorn trait *womp womp* lol )....so dearest assistant of mines ( you know who you are) ..gear up !!! lol... and definitely gonna be going over those intern requests as well... Fashion Week is coming up gonna need all the help I can get ... ( *WHEWWW*)

Anyways I know 2012 is not gonna be a smooth ride, or perfect but I plan to enjoy the rollercoaster ride... make sure I make the best of it ...Let Go and Let God... Yuup God is definitely piloting the plane that is my life this year ...need to make sure I work on getting that relationship with God right and close....But I am excited about this year and all the things we can accomplish... Its all about POSITIVITY ...Here's to an amazing 2012 regardless *muah*

I recently attended the trunk show of a very talented designer from Ivory Coast Loza Maleombho. She was showcasing her new Spring 2012 designs and I must say I was very impressed. Loved how she took different
African prints and Incorporated it into modern designs... There is such richness in the African culture and we aree seeing more and more how this is being explored more in fashion , we have seen it on worldwide runways and designers such as Burberry, L.A.M.B, Donna Karen, Tory Burch and many more.... SO its very refreshing to see someone from that actual background , explore their roots and bring it front and center and add a modern, edgy and unique twist to it...

As the year is coming to an end....I just been reflecting and I am soo thankful for all the achievements of 2011, from different photo shoots, appearances, videos, campaign shoots....its been amazing . Its such a blessing to see people respond to your work so positively and also to have clients who at the end of the say walk away happy.... its amazing ,... and I am always forever humbled and grateful to have been blessed enough to do what I love everyday ....here's just a few of the magazines my work made it in this year ( of course will continue to update as I find ).... My weekend last week was soooo crazyyy, had so much to do and catch up on and also had to get myself together for a photoshoot. The theme of our shoot this time around was futuristic. I worked with photographer Christina Deo again. At the beginning of the shoot it seemed like anything that could go wrong did.. The initial model was a no- show and we had to try and get the agency to send a stand in model asap....and then the hairstylist was ill and under-rested so we lost her too buttt...all is well that ends well and we ended up getting such a dope model with a unique look herself and our make-up artist did hair as well and soo it was all good to go... so here are some of the images of the shoot. I actually love the effect of the picturesss.....and as always I have to share with y'all

Right after the Anderson Cooper show....next stop!!!... Studio!!!!... for a Pastry Photo shoot....Yuuup it was an all day affair...no sleep for the hungry hehe ( whatever that meanss lol )... Anyways the shoot was for the new Pastry X Hello Kitty Sneakers (Pastry is definitely making wavesss..whoop whoop!!) Campaign in EUROPE for the holidays....It was a fun shoot which almost made me wish for the snow ( ALMOST)..... Anyways, Pastry put on a fun funky twist to HELLO KITTY....they made her rocker glam,..the sneakers are pretty cool...personally I want a pair of the gold ones and maybe they can throw in the metallic silver ones in for luck....in other words I want them alll....heehee....okay back to the subject at hand...enough of me lusting after shoesss...so yea here are some behind the scenes look , from me putting together the outfits ....to the actual behind the shoot scenes....can't wait to see the finish product and show to you guys....!!!

OKkayyy gonna do my best to catch up on all my updates.... *whewww* So here goes nothing... Soo remember my "Manic Monday" post....where I showcased my outfit for my run around the city because I had a photoshoot and TV appearance I had to get my clients ready for...Well here's the TV appearance ...it was the Anderson Cooper Show and it was a topic on Parents favourites and the girls came on to address that issue amongst them as sisters, and who they felt was their parents favourite....well my job, as per usual... was to provide wardrobe ,.... which I did ;-)hehe.The Anderson Cooper show has a more laid back feel to it so I opted to go for casual chic for the ladies... They both are wearing SUPERTRASH and CESARE PACIOTTI shoes...

DREAM ON!!!!

Sooo I just wanted to do a quick shout out to J.Cole on this song ....It reminds me of how important it is to follow ones dreams and also to believe and support each other however we can.... When we shot this video with Jermaine in 2008, he was unsigned and shopping for a deal, all he had at this point was his passion, drive and will to make it. I went to school with Jermaine ( SJU) and we all were pretty cool,... so when they asked me if I would help in putting this project together as far as styling it ( though they had no budget )... I was more than happy to help and contribute in whatever way they needed,...all I saw his talent and his will and drive to make it and I just wanted to help however I could to get him where he needed to be. They shot this video as a Trilogy, so it was Simba, Lost Ones & Lights Please... ( did the wardrobe for all 3, not sure if Lights please will ever be released but all the same.....) & we shot all weekend long ... Fast Forward 3years later...J.Cole is now signed to Roc Nation and is one of the biggest artist out now and is definitely leaving his impact and mark in the music Industry.
So as much as I like this song and the story it tells,.... for me and I'm sure everyone else associated with this project then, including Jermaine himself....there is sooo much more emotions and story behind this.....it just goes to show...its okay to DREAM....its okay to SUPPORT...its okay to BELIEVE..... !!!!! Go After what you want in life with a pure heart and all good intentions....and for sure you will be Blessed...may not be immediately but definitely eventually!!!!...just DREAM ON!!!!....

I recently did a photoshoot about 2 or 3 weekends ago and the concept of the shoot was "Street Light".... Showcasing and transcending the colours of the street light( red, yellow and green) to Fashion .... This was a truly fun shoot for me , though I literally got a chance to get myself together for it and pull for it in just one day .... This shoot came after the madness of fashion week, Miami, Peta Ad campaign, Anderson Cooper show & Pastry Photoshoot ( ooo which I am still yet to share images and stories with you guys :-), sooon to come #scoutshonour)....anywhosss I was able to make it work and I;'m glad I did because I had great fun with this concept and working with all the great people I did - Teamed up with photographer Christina Deo ( she did the Avian flew Photoshoot with me ) anyways these are some of the images from the shoot you know I always have to share with you guys ;-). Ohhh and I have to say a big Thank you , Thank you to SUPERTRASH US showroom for hanging after hours to let me come in and do my pulls ...appreciate ya ;-)

SOOOO my client Angela Simmons posed nude for PETA , which I must add is very tastefully done...even though you cant see anything even an ass crack it had ppl up in a frenzy like she posed for Playboy or something...People forget that ppl have their own lives to live and their own beliefs....Anyways PETA is a charity for Animal Rights and Angela posed to promote a healthy eating lifestyle by urging you to consider going Vegetarian....AGAIN!!! In life everyone has their own path and choices in life, so if its something that appeals to you then try, if not then carry on with life,...lets just not be soo quick to pass judgement and condemn....*WHEWWW* that felt like a mouthful...lol...anywhos on September 27th,2011, she hosted, along with Global Grind an intimate party for the launch of the ad at the Paramount Hotel and of course I had to dress her for the event :-). The event was fun, Samantha Ronson flew in from LA to DJ ( she is soo fun and hilarious by the way- such a carefree spirit #fun) .... her Uncle, Russell was in tow to of course support and cheer on his niece, along with the Global Grind staff, and friends....it was good times had and everyone was in good, positive spirits

I decided her look needed to be simple, yet sophisticated, just so people can see that this once young girl we saw on TV on RUN'S HOUSE AND DADDY'S GIRL'S is grown up to be a respectable, driven and amazing young woman living out her dreams and beliefs.... I went for nude/off white to compliment the purity and mission behind the ad/message and of course we had to add the little open back twist to compliment her young and edgy, fashionable side...

"...Wish it was Sundayyyyy!!!... "*singing*....*oops* soorrry just had to finish the song ...I love old 80 jams...heheee .. Okay so I got a call Sunday Evening that the upcoming Tuesday I was going to have a photo shoot, as well as preparing my clients for an appearance on a TV Show....so that entailed pulls, pulls and more pulls , as well as shopping....So you can imagine I had only ONE DAY to get it all together ....so I had to think quickly and draw my inspiration before I went into my meeting on Monday,as well as starting my pulls and shopping...
Anyways Thankfully it all worked out despite the fact my insomniac self went to bed at 7:45am and had to be up by 10am, smh @myself ...yes, yes I know I have issues...Anyways the next day I awakened ready to conquer and might I say everything couldn't have gone any better if I had planned it.... did my pulls and shopping and got all I needed for both the shoot and appearance ...Definitely was Thankful!!! ...... check out my outfit choice for my busy running around day....guess I was tryna look like a "stylist" haahhaaaa ..... just kidding ....You can't tell I only got like 2 1/2hrs of sleep right????? smh lol ;-)

Shake shackin' it!!!

Okay so I got a couple of requests asking me to blog more about my own personal style, as well as evry other things I blog about..I guess people care about the blogger as well as the content of the blog *blushes* hehe...Anyways I was opposed to it for a while because I am not one that just loves to be in front of the camera by myself and pose for photos ( except its photo booth fun- those get me all the time...lol) ...I dunno guess I'm just a lil shy and self conscious a bit I dunno plus I just think I dress aiiight hehe BUT....since I listen I am going to try it out and give you guys occasional outfit updates of my personal looks and style....so depending on feedback and comments I will decide if I Shall continue with it...so be nice people lol :-)

Anywayssss...After hectic fashion week, miami and all the other things that came in between lol ...I met up with one of my fave ppl Kim Snow...she helps keep me sane, gives me the best ideas, motivates me, criticizes me ( constructive criticism of course), long and short she's always looking out for my best interest and believes in me...Anyways we had a date to catch up on life amongst other things. The plan was shake shack; cause I had never been ( and I have been hearing soooo much about this infamous shake shack and I just had to try it) and the movies....( we only made it to shake shack) ...Anyways after the meal- which was okay, I was a little disappointed there were not more options but it was pretty good tho ...It was a rainy Friday but we decided to make the best of it and since I always dress according to my mood- I definitely was laid back and casual as I could be and loved every moment of it....

Okay so let me first start off with an apology for neglecting you guys for so long.... it was definitely not on purpose but been on the move constantly.....my september was manic....tho I loved EVERY minute of it, so no complaints here. The thing about me I love to be constantly moving and working and kinda get a lil depressed and ancy when I have time on my hands...guess sometimes down time is good but I love the adreneline rush tho of constantly going!!!

My favourite time of year is approaching...both temperature and fashion wise ...*WOOOHOOOO* ( *dodges bullets* don't prosecute me summer loversss) but summer is just tooo hot sometimes and winter wayy too cold...while fall is just right ... *cooool* hehe... and you must admit...dressing in the fall is soo much fun ...all the layering & coool and cozy things to pick from ....from leather jackets to cozyy knits & sweatersss.... ooohhh yeaaaa!!!!.. jumpers, cardiganssss & all sorts of knits, is definitely going to be the way to go for the fall, right into winter...It was all the rage during most of the 2011 Fall fashion shows... from Charlotte Ronson to Rachel Roy,( who might I add, had such an amazing collection with the knits, prints and layering...... IN LOVEEEE *sighssss*) definitely my look for the fall fo sho!!!...amongst many others... even down to our fave high street stores from h&m, zaras to topshop...everyone is getting their "knits" together ...hehe. I just simply looooeveee the conceptd of mixing and layering all the different knits(with their different patterns and texture ; from the soft and light knits to the heavy chunky knits) with anything from maxi skirts, dresses, pants, tights, & shorts)/..... ooo & did I mention this amazinggggg forever trending knits come in pants, shorts and skirts....YUPPPP u definitely read right! .,....so now not only do you get knit sweater dresses but you also get knit pants,skirts, tights and shorts...now it doesn't get any cooler or comfy-ier than that...its like walking the streets in your snuggie blankie except now you styling while comfy.... hmmm that should be like a new saying ... "heyy don't interrupt me...I'm styling while comfy..."..(haaa okay it sounded witty for 2 secsss...lol) but yea fall is definitely gonna be a fun fashion season ..and your bummy swaggg can definitely be stylish at the same timeee... comfy and cozyyy is in style sooo feel free to "get comfortable" ;-)

Its definitely worth checking out and because I love you guys sooo, I am sharing....... and its a major sale up to 70% off all this dope stuff ,...so you are definitely bound to find something from clothes to accessories... I've had a whirlwind two weeks...but its been such a rush and soo fun.. see I am somewhat of a workaholic and love when I am constantly on the move, creating and working on different projects...SO when my clients came into town, with a list full of events to attend on their short NYC trip ...I pretty much had to start pulling tricks out of my magic stylist hat, put looks together and have them looking like the Belles of whichever ball they had to attend hehe ;-)

JULY 30TH - VANESSA & ANGELA SIMMONS ATTEND THEIR UNCLE, RUSSELL SIMMONS ANNUAL ART FOR LIFE EVENT 2011. The colours for this event was sunkist saffron and red jade - yah I know, what exact colours are those? Definitely had to go about doing my research to make sure I had it right when I callled up those showrooms but turned out to be quite an interesting learning experience for me. In my research I found that the Monks of Tibet wear similar colours mixed in their robes and these colours range in a colour chart from like a tangerine orange to a goldish yellow and burgandy/ dark red ( and this is how I explained it to the showroom for my pulls..)...Say Yes To the power of educating self haha ...& everything turned out amazing.. The girls looked and felt good in their outfits and had a blast...and that is all that matters ;-)

Like I said it was a fun, chilled laid back night, so we put together a fun yet sexy outfit for this night about town...& oooh what an eventful night it was :-D!!!!!

AUGUST 3RD, 2011- ANGELA SIMMONS ATTENDS ROLLING STONE COVER PARTY AND COMMON GOOD COCKTAIL PARTY !!!!!- Despite the rain and gloomy weather that didn't stop us from galavanting around NYC and making the best out of what could have been a bum night..instead we put our best fashion foot forward and "dressed" to the occassion. I fell in love with this look right from the Nicole Miller showroom and was hoping Ms Simmons would be sold on it too, despite her array of amazing options ( too many clothes- not enough events hehe). Well as you can see, she did go for it and was actually love at first sight for her- fashion match made in heaven,...I just loved the two tone metallic cropped vest with the very well tailored and fitted straight- leg harem like pants...it was just a very 'laxed outfit but yet had a crazy, sexy, cool feel to it ;-) haha... I loved the edgy, yet futuristic look it had to it & then accessories and shoes just tied it all together. The outfit just seemed so perfect for the weather cause it seemed to be saying "though its raining, I can still look cool,comfy, fashionable and vivrant and run this town tonight" hehe..& run the town we did lol

Wowww...How time flies...we are already in August , which means fall is right around the corner and Christmas following right after, then A WHOLE NEW YEAR ....*Sheesh*..Anywhossss Fall is my ultimate favourite season both Fashion and Temperature wise...not too hot, not too cold....its just right....kinda like Goldielocks & the 3 bears with the porridge and bed...YUP thats me with the Fall...hehe..
What I love the most about Fall fashion is the room for creativity it gives; with the layering & the mixing soft and edgier pieces together, its amazinggg....
So with the help of my wonderful new assistant ( we shall see how long she can stand me for lol) Shenelle, she came up with this amazing season transferrable trend ; from spring to fall ( thank her later :-P)...... and I couldnt agree with her more on how much pleats are going to mean to our wardrobe this fall, they even made thier way unto the fall runway shows for various designers.... so don't put away those maxi pleated dresses, or skirts just yet... just hold on tight to them and start the remixing of the 'fits...with the jumpers (sweaters), cardis, blazers, leather bombers, tights and booties ....it'll be so funn and cool

There's that saying, "What a man can do A woman can do just as well, if not better",... and I guess the same definitely goes with wearing Men's Fashion... Because women have proven that they can make their boyfriends jeans or collared shirts look sexier than he could ever make it look ( though a well dressed guy is sexy as heck ;-). Hence this taking a life of its own and becoming an ever growing trend. The movie Annie Hall wtith Diane Keaton made this trend popular back in the 70's ....and Diane Keaton seemed to have permanently adopted her Annie Hall's characters fashion style. This androgynous trend is taking over runways and streets all over the world...
I think this trend works and is catching on more because it is soo comfortable... what is more comfortable than coming home throwing on those comfortable baggy sweats and a comfy tee?... Now imagine if you can just throw on some heels/booties and a dope leather jacket and walk out of your house....AMAZINNGGGG RIGHT??? my point exactly .!!!! ...Also, remember in Pretty woman when she threw on Richard's office shirt over her mini dress and was walking down rodeo?...I know I wasn't then only one that thought that was actually a dope fashionable moment ( despite what the snobby sales ladies thought hehe)....well NOW the fashion gods have declared this trend acceptable and added it on to the fashion commandments Hence the guys in our lives missing a couple of denims, button down tops, blazers, shorts, even boxer briefs.. *bwaahhhhaa*....we are soo #winning right now.... Even Down to the shoes... the men's oxfords, brogues and loafers completes the whole menswear /androgynous look/..... Size....Aint nothing but a number....!!!

In the wonderful world of Fashion and just this great world we live in, you are pretty much made to believe that or else you are nothing less than a size 6, nothing stylish, fashionable or trendy will look good on you... Anything past a size 6 ( considering the avg American woman is a size 14) ... is pretty much considered obese and so you should just go hang yourself because society will never accept you and you are the equivalent to a Leper ( who no one wants to be around in fear of being infected) and cast away... AND YES I SAY ALL THIS WITH EVERY OUNCE OF SARCASM......One of my favourite shows that I just recently got into is Drop Dead Diva, is a comedy series on Lifetime tv, about a aspiring model, who had the perfect life, perfect body and perfect fiance and who dies in a car crash and sends herself back to earth but ends up in the body of a plus size lawyer, with a great heart, intellegence but boring life and very unflattering wardrobe and lack of fashion sense. Anyways one of the episodes I watched was her suing a retail store because their store didnt carry the dress she wanted in any size higher than a 10

(because they felt anything above that would not do the garment justice) and the poor treatment she received in the store because she was not their "target customer". It was an entertaining episode, still had it laughs as it hit some real issues that people are too scared to address. We've even had famed designer Karl Lagerfield say "clothes look better on thin people"....In a way this skinny VS plus size ppl has taken on a life of its own and has infact become a form of discrimination and segregation.... We have all these images surrounding you of unaturally skinny ppl and ads of what the "perfect" man or woman looks like and we have the youths and even adults buying into it and taking drastic measures to make sure they achieve this look... developing eating disorders, going on fad diets, abusing pills and laxatives, even going under the knife.

Now before I continue, I am not saying I am supporting obesity or saying Skinny people are evil ( Like Monique hehe ) I rather like Skinny ppl..lol...but everyone cant be a size 2 or even a size 6 ...Everyone was not made to be that... Now be HEALTHY!!! and if you are uncomfortable with how you look then definitely do something about it but let the reasoning behind it be one of substance and be of sound MENTAL Health. . You need to build your self-esteem and know your worth as a person and know you are fearfully and wonderfully made and God made NO mistake on you ..& dont let anyones magazine, commercials, designer, retail store, tell you different.... Just LOVE YOURSELF, however you are big, small, skinny, fat, tall, short and if theres something you want to improve on go ahead...Also, I am not saying all the trends are meant for everyone. Wear what suits your body shape and will flatter your curves, as opposed to playing up your imperfections .....and this goes for both big and skinny. There are certain clothes Skinny ppl may not fill out properly and there are clothes that don't flatter larger sizes, you just have to use your diserning mind to decipher what works for you!!!....Anyways, I find that since eating disorders has become a growing epidemic and we have more and more ppl dying from it esp in the Fashion Industry...the industry is trying to take more of a stand to find a way to help with the issue. Recently, V Magazine did a shoot pining a skinny model against a plus size one wearing the exact same outfit and accessories...I think this was a phenominal concept and I think the photos are amazing.( though the model used barely qualifies as plus size).... Also Vogue Italia is also featuring plus size models on their upcoming june cover in sexy lingerie and I must say its an aamazing spread...which just goes to show Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and as long as you carry yourself with poise, dignity and confidence you can exude Beauty and elegance despite what size you are...Your Dress Size DOES NOT define YOU... You define YOU!!!

I spend most of my past time researching and googling fun Stuff up ( GOOGLE IS heaven sent).... And one of my fave things to look up outside of clothes and shoes...& fun accessories (bags, glasses and all things cool) ...IS all kinds of quotes; love quotes, inspirational quotes, movie quotes, fashion quotes, literary quotes ( literature used to be like my fave subject ...love a good old english book, u know like your shakespeares, Jane Austen and all that ( yea kind of a closet geek- I admit it & I'm proud..hehe0.. But I came across this really cool quote that I thought was so fitting for me, this blog and just in life period...and soo I Decided to do the switcherooo and change it up to be my background so it can always remind me and also all my lovely readers to DREAM & LIVE!!!!... and it came to me at the perfect time because I just got this sudden urge that I WANTED to change my background but I couldnt put my finger on what I wanted it to be changed to...until I got inspired on one of my many googling expeditions ;-D... and it came to me and I went in search of a cool but inspirational quote I felt represented me ...& I found it and made the change all by myself ( be proud of me Tash Leake-( she helped me design my blog) but yea so here it is..... it reads ..."LIVE WHAT YOU DREAM, DREAM WHAT YOU WANT, WANT WHAT YOU HAVE, HAVE WHAT YOU DESERVE.......AND YOU DESERVE TO LIVE....!!!!!!

I had updated all you lovely readers on all of my memorial day activites,...pictures included...all because I love you guys sooo and I am soooo great :-D( hehe) ...I shared with you guys that I had worked on a shoot the Friday before the jumpstart of all the memorable memorial day weekend activities...and even shared some behind the scenes photos of the shoot..and, promised to show you guys the finished product when I got the photos back>>> WELLLLL...GUESSS WHATT!!!??? ....YUP... YUP. Got some of the finished product back and I must say I am pretty happy with the outcome, everyone did their thing, from the photographer to hair and tmake up to of course the wardrobe stylist hehe ...The theme of the shoot was "Avian Flew"( in other words had to make the model look reminiscent of a bird) ....so I incoperated feathers, leather, textured pants, fur, and sheer for the wardrobe...we shot in Williamsburg in an abandoned building...I Collaborated with some really talented people and I really enjoyed working with them and bringing this concept to life.

So I maybe late and all but I just discovered Miss Sandford...she makes up 1/5th of the U.K girl group The Saturdays... & she's simply FABULOUS....In my quest of hunting down the Christian Louboutin pyhton 4A booties ( re: coveted item of the week post).... She kept on popping up ... & I absolutely fell in love with her effortless, bold and edgy style.... So I came acrosss these bad boyz a while back and one glance at them I had already conjured up like 10 outfits and a half I could wear with them...as far as I was concerned I could rock them with any and everything ...it fit right into everything in my closet.... & from then new found lust was formed.... Christian Louboutin has no desire to loose his hype anytime soon ...he is keeping up with the times.... catering to every style, age and 'fit...unfortunately his price tag caters only to the rich, extravagant & spendthrift....these beauties run for $1,395..... which if we really put it in prespective is actually not that bad for the quality your getting... afterall its python and nubuck... though its still not for the average joe...except your looking to give up a whole paycheck and go without food, a cell phone, a place to live & u know other life necessities lol.... but nah these are tempting enough ( takes me bck to when Eve was being tempted by the snake.... get it they are snakeskin..hehe...sorwee couldnt help mi-self :-P) ...The best thing about these booties and why I fell head over heels ( all pun intended :-P) .... is because they can be paired with just about everything, ...like dressed down , dressed up .... they just WORK!!!! .... and they add that edge to your 'fit without doing too much....Also the thick heel and platform sole makes them so very easy and comfortable to walk in ... making htem suitable for the day time as well ( Ashley Tisdale wore them best for a daytime look...see below).... These are definitely worthwhile.... * the piggybank saving has begun*... Donations are welcomed too.... hahaaa.... #OPERATIONPHYTON4A....

Ms Jackson ( if ur nasty ..hehe) .... in the black nubuck CL 4A Python booties... I've noticed every shoe I covet Ms Jackson is seen in them right after..( case in point the burberry straight jacket booties)... I'll gladly take over her shoe collection ...& boyfriend ( hehe...i'm just saying ;-P)

Ashley Tisdale, was seen also rocking the Black Nubuck with a mini dress and red velvet bag... actually loving the pop in colour and fabric... and also again running errands in a crochet top, black skinnies and her trusty booties..and that to die for grey large Chanel Bag ( love this whole 'fit).... Side note: been loving Ashley Tisdale looks lately...she seems to be coming into her own ... niceeeee...

my new found "style to watch out for person" Frankie Sandford , 1/5th of the UK girl group "The Saturdays"...simply adore her style... ( watch out for an upcoming post on her style) ....here shes wearing the grey phyton grey nubuck CL booties.... nicely paired with cut off shorts and boyfriend blazer and oversized Prada purse..

And here she dresses up the black pair ...first in an edgy see thru crotched mini dress ( which I think looks dope on her) and then another night in a classy red mini A line dress... she's definitely #winning all around....

here we have Ms Jennifer Hudson.... and she wore the Grey Nubuck CL 4A booties with a figure hugging blue knee length dress and though its a cute 'fit for some reason not loving them on her but oo well ...she owns a pair ,which is more than I can say for myself...hehe/>>so you do U miss Hudson ...:-*

Nothing I love more than a stylish, fashionable "gallant" guy.... It speaks volume of their character and personality..... Personally, I think guys have soo much dope choices and fun stuff to pick from ...not to mention they always have the cooolest kicks ....which is why I would wear men's sneakers/shoes ANY day.... never cared...lol... Guys are just winnning right about now in the shoe dept...its bad enough the ratio of guys to girls is like 107 to like a 100 ....they just couldnt let us have our love for shoesssss....hmph... first Christian Louboutin enlist the help of Swizz Beats and comes out with one of the dopest men sneakers of our time, and that started up the amazing Christian Louboutin for Men shoe line..... ( loubs are not strictly for women anymore *sigh*) ....
Chanel is definitely on ONE *drake voice* now....and they too has succumbed and have a new sneaker line for men ....Lucky BOOGERS...
Chanel went the retro route with their new sneakers for men...which I personally kinda like... but thats because I see the potential and on the right guy...with the right swag...I think it would be totally awesome and dopeness in every sense.... Some may disagree and call them ugly and not fashion forward enough but I think thats what makes it s dope...it looks like a classic and theres beauty in simplicity.... ( and Chanel has always been about the classics and simplicity) ....and I love how they stick to their normal blueprint, even in developing a men's sneaker...and as long as you have the right fashion/stylish mindset these would be so easy to pull off...but hey if your not a fan thats okay too ...like Jay-Z said... "it ain't for everybody"...
Chanel are just wetting their feet and testing the waters out and started off small...they came out with like 3 colourways to start off, in two different basic style; midtops and lowtops.... and they retail for the steep price of *drumrollllll*.. $695.... *eeeekkk*...*sheesh*..but hey what did u expect?, its Chanel....they gotta make you break bank and keep their exclusivity...funny enough thats pretty reasonably priced for them.
The Forever Fashionable Chris Brown ( i simply adore his style ( he owns it),... blonde hair and all...yea I said it lol) has already got his hand on a pair and its one of the newer colour way ( red, blue and white, photo above) ....love this colour way too.... ( definitely think he can pull it off, put a cool, funky, edgy twist to it),....I WOULD so wearrrr the heck out of these sneaks...hand over the white and gold or the red, blue and white.... *daydreamsss* .... already got a few 'FITS in mind....

My Memorial Day Weekend Diary!!!!

Helllo Everyoneee....How was everyone's long weekend? I know there was alot going on this weekend .... Alot travelled to Miami, Vegas, Miami, and wherever else..... Hope everyone had fun, while being safe at the same time....I've heard alot of horrifying scary stories about things going on all over.... people getting injured, hurt & Dying ( Sean Kingston ski accident, and all the people that got hurt in the shoot-out in miami, the bus that crashed, the owner of LRG ...ETC..) makes you appreciate life and realize how precious it is, which is why I opened this post with that little quote. We often automatically expect Tomorrow to come but truth is Tomorrow is a gift, that God blesses us with daily and its up to us to make the best of it... let the people you love and that matter to you know it and don't spend time worrying and stressing about irrelevant things or people....appreciate and live each day with gratitude and purpose.......

I, personally had a lowkey but quite eventful holiday....Stayed in NYC but enjoyed my time with friends and even had some work thrown in as well....I will give you a day to day run down of my memorial day weekend...You know I am all about sharing...

FRIDAY, MAY 27TH, 2011
Friday was filled with work, work , work, work,.....I had a photoshoot and spent my whole week prepping for it....It was an exciting shoot with a pretty interesting concept.. our job was to transform this model into a ravenous bird....so think all your dark birds that prey on other birds.....I think it went pretty awesome. We shot at an abandoned building in williamsburg Brooklyn and alot of the clothes had like feathers, furs , lace and sheer...to kinda capture the avian theme ....because I love you guys soo I will give you guys a sneak peek into a couple of looks of the shoot..... I took these with my phone so excuse the quality and also there were 5 looks in total wasnt able to capture the 4th look but soon tooo comee... I am excited about the finished product...which I will of course share when I receive the photos back....

ANDDDD....while on set the make up artist decided to give me a make over...and did my make up...I am like a make-up artist dream ...I don't like to wear make up...the most I would do is eyeliner and a strong lip ( red, pink or fuschia lipstick)......sooo make up artist love to show me the beauty and transformation make up bringsss....and of course I love to oblige once in a while and have fun with it ...this time around I wanted strong smokey eyez. Had my own mini shoot after my make up make-over hehe.... What do YOU guys think?? ;-)
After my shoot I had all these exciting things planned, moviesss, drinksss w/ friends, etc... but I was sooo knackered none of them happened....I even showered ( to wake me up) and attempted to head out but just ended up right back a home with friends and spent the time watching youtube vids, laughing and cracking jokes....GREAT DAY ALL IN ALL...I always love when I have work , no matter how long the shoots,... at the end of the day I feel so happy and fulfilled :-)

On Saturday, my friends and I just enjoyed the amazing weather and walked around the city and then we had a fun nite out with some more friends with dinner and a nite out about town

Sunday FunDay....Ang and I took a drive out to queens and hung out with her mum and sisters.... we hung out around the area, went to applebees and then to the park and then attempted a bbq that was going on around there... keyword; "attempted"...lol...we lasted only about 10minutes...

MONDAY, MAY 30TH, 2011
Ahhhh finally we made our way out to Jersey to get some good ol' BBQ......tho before we left I had to throw in some work and did some showroom returns so I could fully enjoy my day ....anyways we threw on our sunnies and summer clothes and cruised to Jersey with some silliness in tow...
and it was great times had....amazing food, more than we could eat, swimming, great company, good friends, great convo and jokes.....it was the perfect way to end the loong weekend.....nothing beats great friends and family.....

fruit platter......it was amazing...we were sooo focused on eating we didnt even think to take photos of the spread before we attacked it like hungry banshees..lol...amazing food , chicken wings, potatoe salad, pasta salad, corn, hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, hot sausages, grilled veggies, chips .... ooo my its taking me back...well @ least u got a photo of the fruits.. hehe...

I truly felt like my holiday was well spent and I got to spend quality time with amazing friends.... ~friends are the family we choose,.....
at first I felt like I needed to go away somewhere in order to enjoy the holidays but at the end of it all found out that I really enjoyed the down time and all the good convos ..... all in all it was a good weekend ....NO REGRETS....

WOW!!!! I have missed doing this post soooo much because everyday in my line of work I come across sooo many amazing talents that are influential in their own rights and are slowly but surely conquering their fields.. I have like 3 or 4 Spotlights of the week lined up ....so i need to light that fire under my behind and get to blogging so the rest of the world can know these amazing people and appreciate their potentials as much as I do....

Sooooo Letsss seeee our SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEEK goessss tooo SUE TSAI!!!!!! yayyyy *throws confetti*.....

Sue is a young woman who is responsible for alot of my arm candy and cool accessories...She has her own jewellery line ....aptly named after her SUE TSAI....and I have seen this young lady come a very long way with her line and she just recently celebrated her 1 year anniversary this past wednesday ( May 18th, 2011) and I felt she genuinely deserved this post. Sue at first sight is a pretty, sweet laid back, almost quiet and shy young lady with a cool and laid back yet sexy style.....Until you complement her accessories and ask her where she got it from and she tells you she makes it and owns her own high end accessories line and then you seee ...she is indeed a force to be reckoned with and is both beauty and brains. I was first introduced to Sue when she contributed swag for one of Vanessa Simmons birthday party. She made these adorable black stackable rubber bracelets with colourful stones...They were so cool and went with everything .... I used some of these bracelets on my clients and they too fell in love with them...Fast Forward a year later...Sue decided to expand her brand and began making high end accessories , made out of silver and gold ....she also incorporated the trendy beads and ball bracelets into her collections and with this she gathered more fans and expanded her clientele ,.....including MEN... YUP...she is one of the smart ones ( who runs the world ?? girlss....hehe couldnt help myself) ......she made her line accessible to the men too.... and she makes all of her own stuff.... YUP thats right she has her own studio, where she crafts and comes up with her masterpieces.....(told u she was a force to be reckoned with ). She created bracelets , chains and rosaries that would appeal to the men as well . OMG as much amazing stuff SUE has from bracelets to rings I cant help myself from always wanting something new or updating my sue tsai collection.....I am an avid lover of her designs and a constant supporter ( yes to the point I dragged myself out of my house rain, and all to attend her anniversary party). I just love how sue constantly pushes herself and sets her standards high always....shes always one step ahead...she has indeed stooped to conquer.... Hats off to you SUE and congratulationsssss on your one year and I know it only gets better from here....*cheers*

Spring has Sprungggggg!!!!!. Colours, prints and textures is sooo innnn this season and you find different designers getting with the trend of prints, from Rachel Roy to LAMB.....evryone is down with the movement. One of the most common prints we have been seeing alot in a lot of collection with most designers is the TRIBAL PRINTSSSS!!!...I absolutely love and adore the fusion of this particular print into main stream fashion. This is particularly what I love the most about fashion, how it can connect worlds, cultures and people.
Designer Julian Louie recently partnered with Aldo to debut an affordable line of shoes and bags that are fun, stylish and sure to be a staple in your wardrobe....
I think these kind of prints (in shoes, scarves, bags, accessories etc) is a good way to add a pop of colour to your wardrobe, if like me, you are constantly drawn to the blacks, greys and neutral colors. This helps add the boost of needed colour for your closet.....
The best part of these shoes are they are a collection of wedges which means endless comfort and the best way to jazz up a day to night outfit......Spring fashion is seeming like its gonna be soooo funnnn.... makes me sooo excited .... P:S ( the last shoes posted the aldo forwood are not a part of the aldo x julian louie collection but the print is prettyh tribal and cool) .

this bag is just a personal fave of mines ( we all know I have an obsession for fringeeeee) and I think this is such a cool funky bag that can help jazz up a 'fit. it is part of Aldo's new Leather handbag collection( it is made out of real leather ). Its called the Galassini and retails for $100 ( not too shabby) . I have this bookmarked and planned for my next hand bag purchase *and then I hit my dougie* hehe....lol

Check out this fun look for the day outfit that can easily turn into dinner and drinks out with friends outfit: this fun chiffon dress from american apparel ($70), gold chain belt, and one of these fab julian louie x aldo wedges ($125) and the aldo voigtlander clutch ($65) ; I also threw in the aldo galassini as an alternate bag option ($100)..... this is jut how I would mix these prints and put this fit together ...though I have sooooo manyy other fun ideas in my head....
I definitely think these wedges are worth the BUY and they are sooo affordable that you can go for more than one...remember you can never have toooo manyyy shoesss ....well thats what I say :-)

....Well not really just like that song ( mona lisa) and thot it was catchy,....hehee...Anywhosss its SUMMERTIMEEEEE!!!! Well kinda sorta...almost....and you know what that means, lots of time spent outdoors; beach, parks, barbeques, shopping, ...and any other good excuse to be out and about....& minus our bottled water, ice cream, popsicles, slurpees etc that we may need to stay cool.... we shall also need some COOOL sunglasses not only too make us look cooler or complete our ensemble but they also have health benefits ; they shield our eyes from the sun, hence keeping us from damaging our preciour retnas ...sooo why not take the advantage and be fashionable and "health conscious" at the same time....( gotta throw in a good reason to pardon the shopping hehe)

The talk of this season have been the Fendi spring 2011 collection ....They have the color blocking scheme going on, which has been a rave on all catwalks this season. I absolutely adore these frames and are plotting on how to snag one .... think I want the green & cappacino ones...

I knoowwww I knowww I've beeen gone for a while slacking on my blogging...Tsk Tsk Tsk Shame on me but you know life happens and you try to keep up andf stay afloat....Sooo I've just been dealing with life trying to put things in perspective, work on new things, re-priotize, travelling and so on....and then everytime I wanted to come back and blog...got side tracked and got into other things...I have come to the conclusion I need to find someway to get my life in order somehow.. Need to get an assistant or something...too many things to do and rememeber at once ...that i loose track of time ...crazyyy but yea....

Anyways, I am in so many ways thankful for all the positive feedback and comments on the blog and also for all the emails I receive, whether its in seeking advise, encouragement or just to say hi...I love them all and I always reply to them all....May take me a while but I reply lol.

Not too long ago an avid reader of my blog sent me an email mixed with encouraging sentiments, as well as sharing with me some obstacles sometimes they come across as far as feeding their passion and just pursuing their ultimate dream....and of course it toook me a while to get back to her but one night I took timeout to reply to my (blog) emails and after re-reading her email to reply I realized something....This is not only her, this is me, this is you, this is friends, this is ALL OF US....

When we feel so passionately about something whether is our work, hobby, skills, or whatever, our fear of not being adequate enough to fulfill the task sometimes gets overwhelming because we want SOOOO bad to succeed and reach the pinnacle of our career/ passion that we have set for ourselves that sometimes it scares us. Especially when whatever you have set ur sights on career wise might be deemed unconventional by most. So sometimes we get stuck trying to please others and get approval from others that we loose our purpose. Sometimes we are soo wrapped up trying to prove ourselves to these ppl ( family, friends, haters, etc) ....too busy trying to "SHOW THEM" that we loose our focus and we forget the heart behind it ......and then here comes dicouragement, here comes the feeling of lack of inspiration, ....in other words we HIT OUR BRICK WALL and cant seem to find a way around it.....and we sit STUCK ...wondering where to go from there, scared that you have proved these naysayers right, disappointed in yourself, second guessing your purpose and direction you have chosen....like I said this is ME, this is many people I know.....BUT then there comes a time when you STOP and REALIZE,....it's YOUR life, no one else can live it for you, no one else can be you ...There can only be one KANAYO EBI, just like there can only be one {INSERT NAME HERE}...So why are we allowing other people dictate to us, the direction our lives should go in, especially when God ( who is the Author of our lives) has already written out and purposefully shown/ directed us down the paths we should go and belong.That my dears is what I call a PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE.....and that has been bestowed on each and every one of us, so dont ignore or discard or starve your gifts, feed it and help it keep growing and developing into the greatness that its supposed to be. YES, there may be roadblocks or hurdles to scale, there's no guarantee that its gonna come easy but what I do know is that as long as you have faith believe in yourself and your dreams and your vision you will get to your destiny.....You just gotta KEEP ON TRUCKIN'....and also those hurdles and roadblocks helps us build up character and strength, so see them as something positive meant to teach us and mold us towards our greatness..... Surround yourself with positivity and people who inspire you in different ways and not people who drain you or suck you dry and leave you feeling empty.....

Anyways I took the liberty to post my reply to my lovely reader, because after I wrote it and read it over, it spoke to me too and I, too took something from it...it was like I needed that reminder too, to just believe and know all will work out and just find ways to keep inspired as opposed to letting doubt eat @ me....

Anyways, don't be discouraged or disheartened it is very normal to lose focus or feel uninspired or doubtful ... Especially when you are a creative individual or trying to create a path on your own in life ... It gets tough and discouraging at times and that's completely normal... till today I get moments like that , matter of fact having one right now but what helps u get back up or re fuels you is your love and passion for what you do and the vision you have behind it. That's the most important thing NEVER LOSE YOUR VISION ... Never let anything or anyone deter you from that vision . Look @ the obstacles or road blocks you encounter as blessings to build character and mold you into a better and stronger individual.
If you know for a fact what your desire and passion in life is and know where your heart lies I say go for it because if you don't there will always be a void that's left unfulfilled in you and a part of you will always be left empty. Just BELIEVE in yourself, your talent, your craft and the plan God has for your life and eventually you will turn all the nay sayers into Believers too because they will have no choice but to believe because they see the fire and passion coming from you. Just stay steadfast. I'm not going to lie ... Its a tough and rough road ( not easy at all) but that's what makes the journey all the sweeter when you reach your destiny (destination) .
And anytime you ever feel un inspired pick up a book, magazine, watch ur fave movie, take a walk, look around you and draw inspiration from something because its all around you ... The littlest most insignificant thing can inspire you without u even realising it ... Just PAY ATTENTION AND OPEN UP YOUR MIND. JUst set yourself apart and create according to your own vision and inspirations and you will be fine.

Its Spring Timeeeee!!!!....Well Calender-wise.... temperature-wise it still feels like the beginning of Winter *Burrrrrrr* (whyyyyyy whyyyyy soooo unfair )..... but that doesn't mean we still can't Channel Spring in our wardrobe...
Angela is currently in NYC...reconnecting with her orginal stopping grounds , as well as working on new ventures and revamping Pastry. Well in the midst of working , she has to do her press runs and she ended up having to attend this cosmo event, where Pauly D from the infamous MTV series Jersey Shore was DJ'aying. It was impromtu and I had literally less than 2hrs to come up with a look and outfit for her for this event .
Sooo the day ....gloomy, hailing and raining,......definitely doesnt sound like weather you would like to be out in, especially when you just had yor hair done, right? but you gotta do what you gotta do, when duty calls ....So we decided on a comfy but cool outfit for the event....Now when I first pitched this outfit to Ang ,....she kinda looked at me like uhmmm your serious? grey on grey? BUT then her next question after that was ...You think it will work? and I was like "yea its a subtle grey plus the sides are sheer so its not gonna come across to harsh or matchy but lets put it on first"....but after the 'yea' Ang had checked out on the rest of my reasoning and was like Okay we'll try it .... Once she put it on ...she fell in love with the look because it still had the sexiness factor ( re the sheer sides and the drop front on the top), as well as
comfy factor.... and the length and cut of the top helped balance the leggings, giving it a more classy but youthful look as opposed to too slutty or in your face. Now the weather was grey but that didnt mean Ang had to completely match it, sooo in comes the colour factor...the Coral pumps..which helped liven up the outfit, make it more playful,young and fun....minimal but classy accessories and our effortless and carefree look was created.
Angela tweeted a photo of her look in the car and her timeline and mines went crazyyy...everyone wanted to know where they could get those leggings from and the shoes...I answered a few of the tweets and @'ed the designer Althea Harper...whose collection by the way is simply amazing defintely worth taking a look,( Angela also wore the building leggings w/ sheer sides durig fashion week at the Vivienne Tam show re: NYFASHION WK BLOGPOST)...check out her site http://www.altheaharper.com/ and the shoesss get ready to be shocked and suprised...Steve Madden...the Bevv ( http://www.stevemadden.com/ ) *Gasp* YUPPP!!!...they have an amazing spring shoe selection this season and Ang loves to mix it up sometimes...She believes its all about fashion and YOU as the individual wearing it MAKE the outfit look stylish and worth a million bucks ;-) ..which she did with this outfit.!!!!!

Itsss that time again....where we put the spotlight on and acknowledge another fabulous individual amongst us.....Honestly this is one of my favourite posts to do on my blog because I feel like sometimes we are soo busy admiring celebrities and media personality, whether its their style, looks, achievements or lifestyle....We forget those around us that have those same unique qualities, whether its their style or their drive or pursuing their dreams...they too are doing things noteworthy and worthy of a mention or acknowledgement....AND for this reason I love doing this post because i am inspired everyday by people around me or people that I know and hear their stories of following their dreams or discerning their own path in life.....

Sooo with all that said... Letssss shine our SPOTLIGHT on CYNTHIA ONYEJIJI.....She is such an amazing spirit....just corresponding with her via email, reading up on her life journey and also watching her youtube videos...I was truly moved and inspired by her journey.....Originally from Nigeria, based out of San Francisco....she had a hobby and fascination on hair..... a complete hair enthusiast. Working at a Law office at the time, she decided the only other way to feed her hair obsession was to make youtube videos in her spare time and this way she can still share her love for hair with the world as well as getting her daily hair fix out of her system...Her youtube videos started gathering momentum and gained a following ....amongst that following was a major hair company in South East Asia...Now ask me where Cynthia is today...Yesss Her crazy behind up and relocated herself and her life as she knows it to Asia....YUUPPP half way around the world...talk about following your dreams... This hair company that took an interest in her, sought her out and offered her a job and an amazing position working with them but it meant her up and relocating to Asia......and she did... she now works with Arjuni hair company in Cambodia...
Now how amazing is that... just trying to find an outlet to share and let out your hobby and staying true to yourself and with that comes along a whole new life and opportunity to do exactly what you love and dreamt of all your life....That in itself is like a fairytale story in its own right,.....Of course like the rest of us for like a split second , her parents thought she was insane and was throwing away her life for the unknown....when she pretty much already had it together with a steady job that most of us would probably die to have ( well at least for the stability and steady paycheck) ..... and they definitely were about to have her institutionalized till she regained her senses....haaaaa ookay not really but damn near ...( African Parents don't play that....lol) but yea they didn't take it oo well but as its her life to live they had to trust her decision and let her walk her own path......and she is doing amazingly well

As well as having amazing hairstyles (I absolutely adore her bountiful curls in these photos), she is your go to person for anything hair...so much so, she made me want to get whatever hair shes hawking and try it out, so I too can flip and swing my hair for the cameras hahaaaaa ...anyways in addition she has an amazing sense of style, which compliments her different looks and hairstyles....She sets her own trends and path in life which definitely makes Cynthia more than worthy of our SPOTLIGHT.....SOOO SHINNNNEEEEE GURRRRRLLLLL!!!!!! ;-P

She was loved by anyone who came in contact with her and admired by others. An on and off screen legend Elizabeth Taylor found ways to touch peoples lives, whether it was by her movies, her generosity, her loyalty to friends, her fashion sense and style.... she was admired by many.... Her infamous role in Cleopatra made her the highest paid actress in hollywood then and also set her aside as a style icon....She was also known for her many marriages ( she was married 8 times >>>twice to Richard Burton her co-star in Cleopatra)

At this point I think EVERYONE is fully aware of my love for shoes .....and whats better than fabulous AND affordable shoess..... I have been very impressed by Christian Siriano's shoe colleciton for payless since he started designing for them. They are very well structured and very high fashion...it makes affordable ( hate the word cheap) loook GOOD. Who says you have to spend thousands on quality. I absolutely appreciate the fact that different designers have stepped up to the plate and answered the call of their "middle working class america- but still have a love and appreciation for fashion" consumers and customers because this makes their collection and brand more accessible and relatable....plus they WIN because now they INCREASING their profitsbecause people are going to purchase what they are selling if not for any other reason, at least for the brand name ....but it means alot more when you actually make a collection worth coveting- liKe Siriano with his Payless line.

These shoes are very fashionable and Have a life of its own ....it can singlehandly transform your outfit from simple to chic, fun or edgy.
I am actually really looking forward to these collections .... His Spring 2011 collection he says was influenced by architecture form all around the world , which is so very easy to seee. ...his inspirations came from chinese influences : mumbai , buddhist temple, as well, african influences: nairobi, etc...it s represented in the colours and structure of the shoes which I feel is absolutely genius because it helps set his colllection aside and makes it recognizable.....

I also love the edginess and gothic feel of the fall 2011 collection as he still keeps the architectural feel to it as well with the straps , heels and shape....definitely got my eye on those furry ankle boots and the studded ones with the triangular heels ....*mental note - call payless find out release date*....#operationstalkshoes beginsssss....bwahhhaaaa *evillaugh* !!!!!!!! hehe

OMG...I have been gagging over the spring 2011 Burberry Prorsum Collection....especially the outerwear ( leather jackets, trenches) and then can we talk about the leather pants and studded skirts ...TO DIE FOR!!!!....Spring has NEVER looked THIS good...I absolutely love the fact that burberry has taken a staple of theirs ( trench coats) and put a cool, young and edgy spin to it....the mix of leather sleeves on a classic trench or studs is absolutely genius, though this collection seems very edgy and rocker chic.. the color blocking trend (re post "can we paint with all the colours of the wind") kept it soft and feminine, also the mix of the chic printed dresses under the rocker-esque jackets also help add to the femininity of the collection.... CHRISTOPHER BAILEY.. absolutely outdid himself with this collection.. I already know for a fact these studded trenches and studded jackets are gonna be the most coveted items of the season..... celebrities are already calling dibs on the different styles and rocking them everywhere .I'm already plotting on which organ and how much blood I'm donating in order to indulge myself with items from this collection because I WANT it ALL ( just kidding i'm keeping my organs lol) but I do want at least 2 or 3 or maybe 4 ...ahhhh forget it...I want ALL the coats, pants and skirts from this collection ..oooo I'll take the purses too....I just absolutely love a classic designer such as Burberry can reinvent itself and produce something unexpected ( from that brand) like this ...THIS is why they remain LEGENDARY!!!!

My fave British import makes my spotlight of the week today...... my dearest Sarah Jabbs...she has such a cool laid back and effortless style..... guess you can call it casual chic....she has one of the most enviable collection of sneakers, purses , accessories, scarves and rocker teees. Sarah relishes her comfort and lovess her "trainers" as she would fondly call it...but she has found a way to turn her love for "cazh" and "trainers" into style to follow..... Dont get it twisted when its time to get glammed up and fancy Sarah got that down packed too...she can transform easily from your cute girl next door to a sexy vixen.... Sarah's style definitely refelcts her personality, she is laid back, easy going, silly fun and sweet, with some feistiness ....and all this you can decipher from her chill, cool style.

I have my eyes on a few items in this girls wardrobe that I would love to snag from her ....lucky for her we are not the same shoe size but everything else is fair game...heheheee..so sarah love , you have been forewarned plus she shares my love for POLO...she may have possibly beat me out with her POLO collection, hmmmm... that I need to check out as well when I raid her closet....

...So lately I've had a lot of guy friends and just guys in general ask me if I would style guys and help them with their closets or reinventing their style.....and I'm like OF COURSE I actually love styling guys and think guys fashion is soo cool and theres always so many fashion options out there for guys and so many ways to add a twist to it... matter of fact I think guys have alot of the cool stuff.... So I love to shop for a guy and find new stuff to add on to their looksss....and then I realized OMG I have been completely neglecting the guys on the blog....i completely didn't take their feelings into consideration and think like "maybe the guys to want to seee some styles and fun things that apply to them too" ..... Sooo here I am trying to redeem myself and put up a post that benefit the guys and the girls too of course (lots of eye candy ;-) & swag) .......

ahhhh Now this post brings a smile to my face .....a big smileeee :-D.... what else is better than a good looking and attractive guy that also has style and swag...this adds to his appeal, sexiness and attractiveness.... I absolutely love a guy that can dress and put together an amazing outfit ....one that reinvents and creates a style/ look for himself... and also knows how to carry himself with such confidence that he can make a simple t-shirt and a pair of jeans look like the most fashionable and stylish outfit ever... like how James Dean singlehandedly iconized denim and a tee.....

Now these 1st 6 guys apart from being incredibly hot and sexy..... they are extremely stylish, set their own trends, and have such swag that they are the go-to people for the who is who in the fashion and marketing world, to help hawk their products to the masses ( because please believe anything any one of these guys are selling .. I'm buying :-P) *BLUSH* hehe ....okay focus ... back to the issue at hand.... FASHION AND STYLE..... Soooo yea, these dudes exude style in every way......, the way they walk, dress, and carry themselves... they create their own aesthetics when it comes to fashion and style.

The most Ironic thing about these style icons are, they are kinda reluctantly became style icons....they rebel against the norm of what they are supposed to do in terms of fashion and just choose to be themselves and dress accordingly to how they feel and what reflects their personality and individuality.

NOWWWW the most fashionable list for guys can never be complete without Johnny Depp.... I absolutely adore Johnny Depp because he has set himself apart in all aspect and has managed to always maintain his individuality both in his style and movie roles..... He is one of the few guys that make grunge look stylish and cool... plus he is forever accessorizing...U gotta love a guy that knows how to put together accessories and make it look cool, and yet masculine.....Hes known to throw together the most random items and incoperate them into his whole look and make them look like they belong and like the coolest thing ever..hes known for his coloured sunglasses lenses and randomly placed bandanas..... all in all Johnny Depp makes you want to be able to exude cool only like he can.....

OOOHHHH AND NOW DAVID DAVID DAVID....the amazingly stylish and ooo sooo sexxxy David Beckham (He is an adonis)......David Beckham is one of the most popular soccer players in England and wherever else in the world soccer is a religion but for the Rest of the non- soccer worshipping world they know David Beckham as a STYLE ICON, well plus the fact he married a spice girl *rolls eyes* ( oo yea i'm hating...hating hard...lucky heffer ) haha ...but yea tho I have to give it to her she is just as stylish and they make quite the power style couple.... Now something that may have added to David's stylish-ness ( minus the fact he may have to keep up with his 'posh' wife , and vice vers) may also have to do with his O.C.D ( Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) .... I am sure hes just obsessed with being drop dead gorgeous and fashionable and making sure he gets it down packed perfectly ( which by no doubt he has) ....From his street style to his red carpet look he stays looking absolutely amazing and fashionable ....he was one of the men that made pastel colours, and accessories look good and masculine. He can also be accredited to making the three piece suit look young and fresh again ...not to mention making briefs look cool and sexy ( good Lord *wipes forehead re; armani ad) as opposed to nerdish and corny... He's like the go to person for any designer or Brand trying to keep their brand cool and fresh. he has hawked everything from Cologne, pepsi, gillete razors, phones ( motorola, vodaphone), stores, clothes, Jeans , underwear, sunglasses, even sharpies. He has also developed his own line with different brands like adidas, and marks & spencers... has his own cologne... & the list goes on and on....He does it ALL... David Beckham is definitely high maintenance but he has the style, and paycheck to keep up with his ever fashionable lifestyle.. it PAYS to be David Beckham ( literally)

James Dean, Our rebel without a cause .....whose rebellion made him iconic both in movies and fashion. Ironically enough, in his era James Dean was never considered a style icon or even stylish. He came from an era where the men in hollywood, dressed the part. Always ready for their close-ups and forever looked put together and dapper....James Dean on the other hand didnt care for all that, all he cared about was riding his bike, ironically named "little bastard" (which eventually attributed to his death) and car racing (he was definitely into speed).. and so he lived in his tshirts, jeans and leather jackets , he definitely was your ideal hollywood renegade....though he shunned and ignored the fashion trends of his time ...he ended up creating his own (his whole look from rebel without a cause is a fashion staple)....

James Franco and Orlando Bloom....represent young Hollywood...and are the heartthrobs of our generation (ooo are they fuuiinnnee) ...James Franco watch out I'm coming for you ;-P hehe. Anyways, what makes up their style (Franco and Bloom) is their twist on simplicity. James Frano reminds me of the modern day James Dean , while Bloom reminds me of the modern day Johnny Depp ... ( guess thats why they made this list). They too don't really care for the fancy aspect of style and fashion ...nor are theyr really fond of dressing up ( when they dont have to) BUT yet in their rebellion created and branded their own look and style.....

Ahhhh and then we have our rock star Pharrell ..... Pharrell introduced something new to the world of music and left his mark and staple as a producer .....he then decided to go on and conquer the fashion world. In everything he does Pharrell makes sure he sets himself apart from others. Pharrell never dressed as people expected him to dress , especially in the hip-hop world...he broke all the rules in his genre- when it was deemed uncool for rap stars to rock pastel / Bright colours or fitted clothing, Pharrell wore them proudly and boldly and made them look GOOD....to the point he had the whole industry following in his fashionable footsteps. He has even been acknowledged as a fashion icon not only in his beloved music world but in the fashion world by major fashion power houses like Louis Vuitton, that they had him become a brand ambassador.... he even collaborated with a Japanese clothing brand Bathing ape to create his own clothing line Billionaire Boys club/Ice cream. Pharrell is definitely leaving his staple in the fashion industry. Talk about turning unbelievers into believers....(in yo face haters !!!)

With all of these men, what sets them apart and makes them more alluring is their confidence and their individualism in their approach to style and fashion....LESSON TO BE LEARNED GUYS .... its not necessarily the LABELS your wearing that makes your outfit cool or makes you fashionable (a mistake that most make) its HOW YOU WEAR IT...NEVER LET YOUR CLOTHES WEAR YOU,... ALWAYS WEAR THE CLOTHES!!!!

Ahhhh....Spring is in the air ...Only a couple more daYs ( okay maybe weeks:-/) and the "brighter" warmer weather comes our way and what better way to celebrate its arrival but by colouring up our closets....Remember Fashion 101- when all those do's and don'ts in Fashion are dished out? Well we are Breaking all the rules ...we ARE going to mix colours and patterns, we ARE going to mix silver and gold, We ARE going to wear Black and Brown, we are NOT going to match our shoes and bags or our shoes with our dresses.... Feeling Rebellious yet?? woooohooooo its liberating right!....So now we are in the rebellious spirit..... how about we experiment with mixing up our colours.....

One of the major trends for this spring is colour blocking. It was all over the runways during fashion week. I mean this trend has been around for a while now but designers really took time out this season to center most of the collection around colours. sooo COLOUR ME BRIGHT and bring on the rainbow.... These bright colours add a touch of fun, energy and personality to a look or outfit . It just looks like it'll add a glow to you and influence your mood ... The Gucci Spring collection is amazinggg and made such a splash and has become so popular ... its in every fashion magazine you open up and on every fashionable celebrity at every event. Colour blocking has taken its talents from the runway to street fashion and its making its wavesss....

Okay okay I get it you don't want to walk out of your house looking like a pack of skittles....but just like every other fashion trend its all about how you wear it. Stick to colours that you are comfortable with and compliment your skin tone and body shape, mix with complimentary colours or patterns, Also you can mix it up with the good ol' neutral basic colours like blacks, browns, greys, nude, white) (so like midnight blue w/ Black or a Pink w/ nude or brown)...

I realized the other day how oooo so boring my closet was, .... just the good ol' blacks and greys, with a plash of colours from my purse, shirts , sneakers or shoes.....One day I had conjured up the cutest look in my head, only to discover I could do nothing about it because my wardrobe lacked variety in colour...and that was when I cried to the fashion gods to save me from my boring ol' wardrobe and Bring some colour into my life. After that I decided I absolutely NEEDED colour to my closet....not necessarily extremely bright colours , or pastel colours but just more cool, fun rich colours.. to help transcend a certain outfit or look to chic & fun.....Plus its a fantastic excuse to have to go shopppinnnnggggg :)...... *bbmdancingface* .....So why don't you dear friends in fashion embark on this journey with me , and lets welcome the rainbow into our closets....soooo we to can be gone with the wind....heeehee ( get it? gone with the wind...colours of the wind...get it ? *pshhh* forget it:-P
